Prior to his very tedious stint in Cape Fox, he assumed an academic position as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business at the Alaska Pacific University, in the Business Department. Some of the interesting courses that he had taught were change and quality management courses and venture funding and fast growth management.   Incidentally, these management and business courses have been advantageous for Bruce Borup and for Cape Fox respectively.

Bruce Borup is a certified workaholic. Aside from being a CEO, he performs other leadership functions for several other corporations. On the other hand, Bruce had also served in all honesty and sincerity the Army. During this time, he was appointed as an Army Airborne Ranger. Furthermore, Borup was chosen as a Paratrooper and a well-deserving Infantry Officer.

Being a part of the battalion, he had developed a much disciplined kind of personality. By the way, Bruce had spent almost six years in the Army.

Going back to Cape Fox, the call for change has swiftly begun. This is due to the fact that their dynamic and goal-oriented CEO started to instruct his hardworking subordinates and its management, to focus their dedicated and undivided attention in community development; because this is the ultimate commitment of a native corporation. After receiving numerous accolades, Bruce Borup decided to serve CFC, as its Chief Financial Officer. CFC is a company which provides the services of aerospace engineering and manufacturing services in the United States.
